Scouts

To make life a little easier most of the information that you require regarding the troop has been put on this web page. A copy of the Law & Promise for your son/daughter to learn and a sheet showing badge positions on the uniform shirt are below. These should not be sewn on until after your son/daughter has been invested.

We meet on Wednesday starting prompt at 7.15pm. Scouts may arrive at 7.05pm onwards, they may not be left any earlier as we are not covered by our insurance policy until this time, and we finish at 9.15pm. Could you please come into the hall to collect your Scout as we do not allow them out unaccompanied by an adult.

The Leaders are:

Bosun

Paul Kosinski - Bosun

Maple

Jane Turner - Maple

The Scout Leader is myself, Guy Townsend, and I can be contacted on 01420 472543. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems or queries. The leaders are available after meetings for consultation.

We are here for your child to enjoy Scouting, if you or your child encounters any problems please talk to us; we can then do our best to resolve the problem.

The Scouts are advised of any activities that take place either verbally at the end of the Troop meeting, or by letter. Please ask them if there are any requirements for the following week, either tasks to be completed for badge or award work, or a change in venue or clothing for the following meeting. If your son/daughter has missed a meeting please contact myself to find out if there are any special requirements for the following week. PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE SCOUTS HAVE A COAT/ WATERPROOF WITH THEM EVERY WEEK as many activities take place outside. As previously, they are more than welcome to bring a spare change of clothing each week (scruff kit).

If as a parent you have any time to spare we are always grateful for any help that you can give. Please remember that the Group will always need your support and that all the leaders give their own spare time voluntarily without reward, only lots of little smiles!
